Driving directions


How to find us ….

Route One
Turn off M6 at J36 and follow A6 Sedgewick Road, then taking the A590 WEST to Broughton-in-Furness. Take the A595 through Duddon Bridge, Wabberthwaite, Muncaster and Holmrook. At the Gosforth Sign turn right into Gosforth – (At Duddon Bridge you can take the fell road which brings you out at Wabberthwaite where you re-join the A595).

Route Two
North M6 to J37, turn left for Kendal and follow the A591 into Little Langdale. Take the Wrynose Pass and the Hardknott Pass into Eskdale. Carry on through Santon Bridge into Gosforth.
NOTE: This route has some of the most superb views in the Lake District and some of the worst drivers. It is also dangerous in bad weather and should to be attempted in the winter months. For none but the brave!

Route Three
M6 to J40, Left (West) on A66 to Cockermouth Sheep & Wool Centre. Take a left on to the A5086 to Egremont. At the end of the A5086 turn left at the roundabout. This is the A595 and you are following the Barrow signs. Go past Sellafield main gate. St Bees signs, through Calderbridge and New Mill till you come to Gosforth/Eskdale/Wasdale signs, then turn left into Gosforth.

Upon Reaching the Village
Gosforth Hall Inn is through the village. Go past eh shops to Beckside Garage and take an immediate left on the Wasdale Road. Approx. 500 metres on the left is Gosforth Church and we are next to it clearly signposted and visible from the road.
